Business confidence came in at 43.8 in June, down from May’s 45.3. June’s result marked the weakest sentiment since January. Consequently, the index remained below the 50-point threshold indicating pessimism among businesses.
June’s fall was driven by a deterioration in sentiment in the industrial and mining sectors outweighing stronger sentiment in the commerce and construction sectors.
